Mobile internet here runs on Cellcard, Smart and Metfone. 4G covers cities, resorts and main highways; 5G is available in large cities.

An M8 package is mobile internet only — no local number, no SMS, no calls. Your main number stays active as a second profile, so verification codes still reach you.

For a week of maps, messengers and social media 2–5 GB is usually enough; 10 GB if you make video calls and post stories every day. The package activates the first time you switch on in the country, and the validity period starts from that moment.

Tourist SIM cards at the airport cost noticeably more than the advertising suggests and are sold only against a passport. An eSIM is installed in advance, at home, and works the moment you land.
